The Danny Wallace Foundation "provides a one-time scholarship for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional character, compassion, and a commitment to helping others."  The foundation was formed in memory of Danny Wallace and the golf tournament takes place every year to raise money and to come together to support each other and the cause.
